VX-3000/Home build not working
I have been trying to connect a MS VX-3000 webcam to a homebuilt machine
running Vista64 Premium. Downloaded the latest software/drivers from the MS website. The software installs and the webcam connects. I get good video feed and can hear audio just fine. Transmitting/recording audio is so weak as to be unusable. The "audio\video settings" tab in the Lifecam software is grayed out and cannot be accessed. I haven't be able to Google any references to the same problem. The system hardware is an ASUS Maximus II Formula motherboard using included X-Fi soundcard. Sound management is through "SoundMAX Blackhawk". Using headsets to the soundcard jacks all works well, but using the USB interface the webcam audio is very poor, with no adjustments accessible. Any suggestions? Thanks, Fitz -- Your body is a temple boy, You ought to treat it well But you trash the place and rent it out Like it's some cheap motel - The Badlees |
