Default Drive partition

I have an Acer aspire 5715z series which as its hard drive partitioned
into two 30gig partitions. I would like to know, if I was to delete one
of the partitions which is empty would the remaining partition take up
the empty space on the hard drive.
Thanks

Default Drive partition

Not unless you expand the existing partition
