"The media is write protected" error
Hi everybody.
Excuse me for openning up an old issue. I could not find a good answer on the internet. Recently I changed my hard disk, WITHOUT changing the fax store folder; it is "d:\users\documents\fax" as it was before. Since then, when I try to send a fax, I get this error: "The media is write protected". Anyone knows what is wrong? Morteza |

"The media is write protected" error
how did you get the fax store from the old disk, to the new one? if you used
a CD or DVD depending on how you did it, you may have copied accross Read only. now in XP all you need to do is look at the properties of the folder and change them, not sure if its more complicated on vista as i have avoided that experaince so far.
