Default Computer freezes

Hi,

I have a Toshiba Satellite Series M200 Laptop...

Config: 1GB RAM, 120 GB Hard disk, 1.73 GHz Dual core processor(T5300)

Lately Every time i start my computer, within 15-20 minutes my computer
suddenly hangs. And my monitor goes completely weird. Weird because
sometimes lines appear on the screen. Sometimes the screen goes blank.
Sometimes coloured Boxes appear on the screen. After it hangs I am
unable to continue use. So I have to restart. However I have discovered
that the computer works perfectly well in safe mode (with/without
networking). However in normal mode the problem steadily continues to
become worse. Is it a software problem or hardware. Please advise me as
to what can be done.

Its likely to be a driver issue, possibly video drivers.
Have you updated any drivers from MS Update?
If MS Update is set to automatically download/install, check your update
settings, ammend to install only critical updates. Then review update
history to check wether any hardware updates have been applied
