REPLY TO MY PROBLEM: Jazz, Did you update any drivers lately? Open the Start menu and right click Computer in the middle on the right. Choose Manage from the pop-up context menu and click Continue on the UAC prompt you will receive. Once Computer Management opens, click Device Manager in the tree on the left. On the right you will see a tree of the devices connected to your computer. I would start by expanding the display adapter node. Right click on the icon for your display adapter and choose Properties. In the «Display Adapter» Properties dialog box click the Driver tab at the top. If the Roll Back Driver is not grayed out, click it and let Windows roll back the driver. Then reboot computer. If that doesn't get it, or it was grayed out, try some other devices. HTH - Dan MY Problem: Hi, I have a Toshiba Satellite Series M200 Laptop... Config: 1GB RAM, 120 GB Hard disk, 1.73 GHz Dual core processor(T5300) Lately Every time i start my computer, within 15-20 minutes my computer suddenly hangs. And my monitor goes completely weird. Weird because sometimes lines appear on the screen. Sometimes the screen goes blank. Sometimes coloured Boxes appear on the screen. After it hangs I am unable to continue use. So I have to restart. However I have discovered that the computer works perfectly well in safe mode (with/without networking). However in normal mode the problem steadily continues to become worse. Is it a software problem or hardware. Please advise me as to what can be done. -- thejazzz I tried the suggestion above. It did not work. Is there anything else I can do? -- thejazzz |
