hey,
i decided to upgrade them ram in my computer to 2gb, instead of the
512mb it already had installed,
so i did so... the computer worked fine for a few days, no problems at
all.
Now, a few days on, i loaded up my computer and after a couple of mins
it will go to a blue screen which says something about dumping virtual
waste...
ive put the 512mb back in a computer works ok again.

Any help that'd make the 2gb work??

Can't say I've ever seen a BSOD that said dumping virtual waste. If you have
2 1GB sticks try booting with one at a time or run memtest on each one to
see if one is faulty and get it replaced under warranty.

The first thing to do is to install the new memory singly to see if one of
the new memory stick is faulty. If everything works okay with the 512MB RAM
installed then one would suspect a faulty memory stick in the new RAM you
have purchased.

In my experience the quality of new RAM is not very reliable. I have seen
many defective ram sticks from both name brand and no name vendors.
However inexperienced upgraders not infrequently fail to fully seat the ram
properly which can cause what you are experiencing.

And if the new ram is 4 modules, many motherboards are unstable without bios
changes to either increase the DRAM voltage or reduce the speed. But since
you said it worked fine for a few days, it sounds more like a poor
connection or a faulty module. However, if the failure is after more
substantial memory stress, consider reducing ram speed in the bios as a
test.
