Approximately 25% of time when I click "shut down" the screen goes to
"logging off" and hangs there. I can only shut down by holding down power button. The rest of the time, the screen shows "logging off" for a few seconds then automatically goes to "shutting down" and goes off. What do I do? |

Go into your Event Viewer, and see what errors/warnings you`ve got. It`s probable that a program is not releasing properly. bw.. |

Hi Joe C:
the problem with your shutdown was, and still common. It could be due to some programs that is preventing the process of shutting down ... the black transparent screen doesn't always show up telling you that some programs are blocking the shutdown, or something. So close the programs manually that you suspect that could be hanging the process. "Joe C" wrote in message ...
