Hi, Have you installed Service Pack 1 for Windows Vista - this is an issue that was addressed in the Service Pack. Regards, Jon www.insidetheregistry.com -- "Umbrella420" wrote in message ... The remap will move the hardware addressing to the 5th GB, giving Vista 64 access to the full 4GB. |

"Umbrella420" wrote in message ... The memory remap option is not available in my BIOS =\ Can it be emulated or forced in Vista or XP? Try checking the web site for the motherboard manufacturer. There may be a BIOS update. Check your motherboard manual too - there should be a PDF online - for memory mapping information. |

Based on the OP that this motherboard only supports 4GB, the option is
probably not available. "Umbrella420" wrote in message ... The memory remap option is not available in my BIOS =\ Can it be emulated or forced in Vista or XP? -- Umbrella420 |

The memory remap option is not available in my BIOS =\ Can it be emulated or forced in Vista or XP? -- Umbrella420 I think there's someting more going on than just the available memory issue. Did anyone notice that the OP's system has a 3.06 GHz P4 and 533MHz RAM, but only has a performance rating of 1. With those specs it should be in the vicinity of 4. My old 2.4GHz P4 with PC3200 RAM rated at 3.7. |
