I had been having problems using Firefox 3 (my preferred browser) with Vista
Home Premium. On a regular basis Firefox would freeze up and not be available either to run or to quit running. I did not have this problem with Internet Explorer but really wanted to use Firefox for most of my browsing. I eventually found out the Ad-aware seemed to be the cause of the problem. I removed Ad Aware from my Vista computer and the problem has gone away. To rectify the problem on a temporary basis I had to reboot my machine to unblock it only to have the problem return on a random basis. This situation does not occur on my other laptop running XP home. Passed on for information. Stu Davis |
