If that is your system as shown then I would leave everything as is. You have plenty
of everything including RAM -- Peter Please Reply to Newsgroup for the benefit of others Requests for assistance by email can not and will not be acknowledged. I run Vista 32 bit without any problems in 1GB of Ram.
What Memory intensive applications are you running that would benefit from more the 4GB? "Scorpzzz" wrote in message ... how much more ram my PC can take? Scorpzzz, why do you need more RAM? The system you have linked to has more
than enough. My system only has 2GB RAM (mainly because I can't upgrade anymore without putting in a new motherboard) and I'm running both Windows Vista Ultimate and Windows 7 Ultimate (Beta) without any problems. -- John Barnett MVP Windows XP Associate Expert Windows Desktop Experience Web: http://www.winuser.co.uk Web: http://www.silversurfer-guide.com Web: http://xphelpandsupport.mvps.org Web: http://vistasupport.mvps.org The information in this mail/post is supplied "as is". The actual usable memory can vary and is dependent on the OS installed and the configuration of that OS. Understand that only 64-bit machines with a 64-bit operating system can utilize more RAM. |

Where would I found out...
I have 4gb DDR2 ram installed right now. I have a Medion Akoya P7300 d & I mainly use it for gaming. I also run quite a few programs simultaneously. (Photoshop, After effects etc.) I don't really want to be opening it up right now though... -- Scorpzzz |

Where would I found out...
Do you have 32bit Vista or 64 bit Vista installed?
1. Do use more then 4gb you need to have 64bit Vista installed and your MOBO needs to support more then 4GB. Check with your vendor to find out how much the MOBO will support? You wrote in the opening post: I want to put more ram on my PC & I don't know where I can found out how much it can take. You think you can add RAM by wishing it into its slot? |
