Default Can not get rid of my network

I recently set up a network with my laptop (without a wireless router). I
didn't like the name of the network so i tried to make another network. But I
could not get rid of the old network that i made. I looked at google and many
people asked same question, but all the answers don't work for me. They said
to go to manage wireless network and just remove the network. but i dont'
have any network there..but when i click "connect a network" i still can see
my old network...can you help me please??

Hi
If you added links and dragged icons of the old network to the desktop or
other places, delete them.
If you mapped drives with the old Network unmapped them.
Then change the name of the Workgroup to a new name (Click Start /Control
Panel/System, and look at the middle of the screen).
If the residual of the old did not totally go, leave it alone, it would
disappear after few boots.
