i have a motorola modem and a linksys router. when i am trying to play an
online computer game, i get a lag every 2 minutes. the linksys is connected to the modem and into the computer. i have a "good" connection on my wireless connection but on my LAN connection it shows up as "unidentified network" and it has "limited connectivity". my internet protocol version 4 on my LAN connection is set to "obtain an IP adress automaticly" same with my internet protocol version 6. can anyone tell me how to get my LAN to not be an unidentified network. also: when i unplug my router from the modem and computer and plug the modem directly into the computer my connection is fine for online games and it no longer has "unidentified netowrk" Please help. url:http://www.ureader.com/gp/1693-1.aspx |

Hi
Are you sure that your Modem is a Modem only and Not a Modem/Router Combo? If it is a combo you end up with double NATing when you add a second Router.
