Hi,
I know that Vista home can not join a 2003 AD domain. However, is there a way for me to allow a vista home machine (that is directly connected to the network) to access files that are being hosted on a 2003 machine? If yes, what do I do regarding the fact that the files are in a folder that has permissions set up that only some users have access to it. (I have an username that does have access)? Thanks |

You can't do anything if your user account on the Vista computer doesn't have access on the server. You'll need to ask the systems administrator to add your user account/password (so it matches what is on the Vista machine) to the server and adjust permissions on the shared files accordingly.
