Default firewire/mouse conflict

I have logitech mouse/keyboard wireless thing. Also have Focusrite
saffire sound system working off firewire.

Vista home premium

HP m7480n
Board: ASUSTek Computer INC. EMERY 1.05
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD 3.19 12/08/2006

All drivers are up to date.

The second I drag something with the mouse the sound goes bad over the
firewire Focusrite.

I have tried installing a different IEEE 1394 card, disabling the on
board ieee, pulling out all pci cards except the video card, disabling
the on board sound card and a host of other attempts.

Focusrite says it's logitech's fault, logitech says it's the board's
fault, no one has any solutions.

In the old days this would sound like an interrupt conflict but I can't
find any information about that.

help

John
