Default Remote desktop connection between vista and xp

I have a pc running vista home premium at home and I'm trying to figure out
how to connect to it from a pc running xp professional. I need this to
access files and such on my home pc at school

You'll need to use third-party software such as UltraVNC (free) or a LogMeIn
account (tiered pricing starting with free).

Default Remote desktop connection between vista and xp

The reason a 3rd party solution is needed is because Vista Home Basic AND
Vista Home Premium do not include Remote Desktop hosting capabilities.

You can remote Desktop from them, but not to them.
