I'm afraid there's no admin here, only volunteers.
YOu've not given us anything really to go on. What programmes are you using, in what order. What file types are you using What are you saving out as from these programmes What settings are you using in each programme What are you plaing the dvds you've made in to test them -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media "KoRnKoB" wrote in message ... ..... can i get like an admin to review my post or something ive been paitently waiting for some advice and i seem to get no help here ...you guys clam to be the best help center for vista ...... -- KoRnKoB |

Perhaps you could answer the questions I posed, this would give me a little
bit of a chance at trying to diagnose the problem. Specifically, think of the dvd that doesn't play that you mention below. What programmes are you using, in what order. What file types did you use in each programme What are you saving out as from each of these programmes What settings are you using in each programme What length is the movie What make of dvd media are you using -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media "KoRnKoB" wrote in message ... ok .. In line
-- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media "KoRnKoB" wrote in message ... haha ok w/e program: Nero 7 Ultra Edition So why ask your question in a movie maker forum??? I'm not conversant with editing in nero, so would be making assumptions. file type: avi AVI is a wrapper, it can contain over 800 different file types, use something like avicodec to identify the type of file it is. http://www.myvideoproblems.com/Tutorials/avicodec.html save out as : nvc ....lol NVC?? Is this the nero project file? If so, this won't burn, you need an mpeg2 to burn a standard dvd, nero would then convert this to a VOB file and burn it to the disc, as these are required by dvd players. settings: original setting it starts as I haven't a clue what these are,s o cannot comment on whether they are correct for the file you are trying to make. length of movie: 90 mins This would fit ona std dvd if you had a reduced bitrate, but as I don't know what bitrate you used I can't comment any further. dvd media: 'FalconPro' (http://www.discmakers.com/shop/ItemGroup.aspx?ItemGroup=FALCDVD)' 16x Silver DVD-Rs' (http://www.discmakers.com/shop/ItemGroup.aspx?ItemGroup=FALCDVD)' ' (http://www.discmakers.com/shop/ItemG...mGroup=FALCDVD) Falocn are supposed to be a good disc, but it is a fairly new copany, so it is hard to gauge properly as their hasn't been much discussion and longevity and quality can only be found out over time and the use of the discs by many people. I wouldn't have thought it would be the disc, as they are supposed to be at the high end of the quality scale. One problem may be that if your burner is an older one, then the firmaware may not support the disc, so making sure you have the very latest firmaware for your burner would be somehting I'd certainly do. anything else u need me to answer -- KoRnKoB |

IMO, i'd convert & burn the avi with convertxtodvd, and i only buy verbatim blanks (not pearl white) as they usually have either MCC or TY dye (always check for "Made in Japan" )as said above burner firmware could be the problem. if your wasting a good few disc's & your burner is quite old, sometimes a new burner is a good idea, LG, lite-on, panasonic or samsung drives are good -- bjproc |
