I just recently started getting the blue screen of death (BSOD). How can I tell whats causing it? I am running Vista 64 bit & Norton 360 V3. The only thing I can think of is the IE8 update. Sometimes my Vista machine stops working with a fault. Always my first move is to Control Panel/ Problem Reports & Solutions/ View Problem History. Here there is a list of recent faults and selecting and clicking on any one fault will open a new screen giving details of that problem and a suggested cure. Try it - it usually shows the way to go. By the way, do you really get a blue screen like in earlier windows versions? I thought that Vista was designed differently - and I have never seen one. bhk Do you have a HP Officejet All-in-One? It's the stupid HP software, not the drivers. You can uninstall the software, but leave the print drivers alone. |
