Default hdaudio conexant cant install

Stupid computers, ha

Here's my problem, have tried just about everything, having trouble
with hdaudio driver.

cannot install manually, cannot install via win update, see pic, all
files will not install and error.

Tried installing uaa, tried drivers from hp and microsoft. Nothing
works, but the thing is my audio works fine. I could care less about
recording, but I dont like having a component that is not working right.
This is on a hpdv9700z notebook, running x64 ultimate.

I cant count the number of times I have uninstalled and rebooted and
installed new update. I got one to work for conexant audio but It didnt
remove this error.

I have run sfc /scannow and it does come up with errors but I cant find
them in the log file. says alot of stuff cant make sense of most of it
but it doesnt mention bad inf or anything about the audio. Possible i
have a corrupt inf file? if so how do I replace it with out a vista dvd?

Any and all ideas are welcome.

Get your driver from the HP website, not from Windows Update.
