Default usb hub problem on laptop

hi.
i m having hp pavilion laptop.
its abt. 6 months old
i had connected a usb 2.0 hub to a usb port on my laptop
till abt. a month back it was working fine
one day i got a blue screen saying dumping physical memory and the
error was something usb debugging.
4 some time my usb did not function.
then it strtd to function again.
after some times i connected usb 1.1 hub to it
it was working fine until the same thing happened once more
now if i connect even my mouse to it it shows error"*usb device nt.
recognized*"
what should i do
*is there a problem in the motherboard?
should i use a powered usb hub?*

You should call HP tech support. Or visit their website to download and
reinstall drivers for your chipset/video card etc. Your computer is still
under warranty, you can also chat on line with tech. support also. Good Luck!

Yes, a powered USB hub is always preferable to a non-powered one. What
happens if you use a different hub? If everything works, I'd just throw out
the old one.
