Hi everyone, The forums have helped me tweak my Vista quite a bit. I have a problem, however, with something else other than tweaking my boot, my L2 Cache size and what not. When I open Control Panel, sometimes Windows Explorer dies on me and restarts. I have a baller computer, so there is really no issue with the computer specs and running Vista. When I open the Control Panel, there is nothing processor intensive going on, so that aint it. Opening the CP after Windows Explorer has restarted does go just fine. Has anyone had this problem b4? Best, KOKO -- kokowheelman go, go, go, go vampire girl's gonna strike to kill gonna kiss your vertebrae with the kiss of poisoned love well, i'm a king and you're a queen queen wasp go dive in |

Yes...I have the same problem...I use an HP Pavilion a6700f with Vista64
installed.....Have had nothing but problems with Vista64. I called HP support to see if I could get a copy of Windows XP. No Luck. The computer is fine...the OS SUCKS. IMHO I really hope somebody finds a fix...getting annoying having to restart every few hours. "kokowheelman" wrote in message ... Hi everyone, The forums have helped me tweak my Vista quite a bit. Explorer was choking on corrupted video trying to extract a thumbnail from it. I deleted the video file and turned it back on. Hopefully it will stay fixed. Also another one that could be a problem is Bluetooth. I am not sure if it's Windows Bluetooth or the WIDCOMM 6.1 software/driver from Broadcom, but Explorer will also stop working and restart if I have the USB Bluetooth dongle plugged in. |
