Hello,
i changed DHCP reservation for my PC on broadband router, (from my_mac=192.168.1.100 to my_mac=192.168.1.222) but computer still recive old IP. reset network adapter, restart computer or ipconfig /release /renew does not useful, and my PC still requesting old IP address. problem is in DHCP DISCOVER message - there is configuration option 50 - "RequestedIPAddress" with value of old (remembered) IP address how can I disable requesting of remembered IP address? |

What kind of BB router do you have? Perhaps you'll have to "reset" it it make it forget? Or change the scheme (i.e. from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.10.1...) -Frank |

Hi,
To set your computer to request the new address reserved in the router, configure the computer with a static address. Setting the reservation in the router means that the router will assign the address only to the computer listed, when that computer requests the address.
