Hi PaulM,

Thanks for the script man, you really got what I meant. By "silent" I
was meaning a totally programatically and automated call to System
Restore, with no user interface and no interaction with the user
whatsoever and this VBS solution fits my requirements perfectly. After
posting on this thread I also found 'this article'
(http://articles.techrepublic.com.com...-6048545.html), which
I think people might find interesting -- especially the item #7 on the
list.

I'm glad PaulM read your mind and his scripts are excellent. But why
couldn't you have just written that paragraph above in the first place?

You are Welcome. But item 7 on that site will not work with Vista or
Windows 7.

Hi there, people.

This looks like a very dynamic forum, heh? That's great!
Hi Malke, sorry for not making myself clear enough, that happened
because, you know, my boss keeps on pressing me for doing my job
quickly, so I'm almost aways far away from perfection. Anyway...

Hey PaulM, I found this out by myself, but also found a script that
really works with Windows 7
(http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/cr...vista-and-xp/),
but not with Windows 2008. And that's what I'm searching at this very
moment. A similar script or API that can be used to create restore
points in Windows 2008. Have you guys ever heard something about it?

Thank you so very much!
