Turning MP4s into AVIs in Movie Maker
I brought over a bunch of video clips from several FLIP video cameras. The
first time I did it, they were saved as AVIs. The rest of the times, they were saved as MP4s. I need to turn all those MP4s into AVIs -- as the MP4s won't allow themselves to be published to a DVD in Movei Maker. Any ideas on how I do that? |

Any ideas on how I do that? ===================================== Might be worth a try to convert the files to .wmv using Windows Media Encoder: (Scroll further down for an app that will convert to .avi) Windows Media Encoder http://tinyurl.com/bbal or... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en How do I convert other video file formats to WMV? http://tinyurl.com/2o8uso or... http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...vice/0065.mspx (Tip: After clicking the 'Convert a File' button... when you click the 'Browse' button to select your .mp4 file...you will not see .mp4 as a choice. If you open the 'Files of Type' drop window and choose 'All Files' you can select your .mp4 file. Under 'Content Distribution'... 'File Archive' might be a good choice. OR...try the freeware SUPER: SUPER © Simplified Universal Player Encoder & Renderer http://www.videohelp.com/tools/SUPER (the mirror download site is faster) Drag/Drop your .mp4 into the field that says: "Drop A Valid Multimedia File Here" At #1....choose your output format... avi At the bottom of the screen...click "Encode". If you did not change the Output folder...your converted video will be in the following folder:: C:\Program Files\eRightSoft\SUPER\OutPut If this fails...there is a forum at the following link where you can get some info: eRightSoft Super Forum http://www.erightsoft.com/Supforum.html Good luck..... -- J.
