Default Firmware update for my DVD RW drive?

Hi,
I am having some sound issues when burning dvd's and have been told to
update the firmware of dvd drive. I have located the model and it is a
tsstcorp CD/DVDw ts-l632d ata device. My laptop is a GATEWAY ML3108b.
I found a few posts concerning this disk drive but am still unsure on
how to check my firmware and what would be the correct firmware update
for me.
Thanks for any help!
Charlie :-)

Firmware is rare for Notebooks, is not updated regularly (if at all),
and you cannot use another OEM's firmware flash update.

Usually when a optical drive has burning/not recognizing disk issues it
is a sign the drive is failing, and should be replaced.

Try looking at
