Problems with CD driver
When I tried to load a CD containing photos on it, the light on my driver flickered and turned off without my computer ever indicating that it recognized the CD. I checked the Device Manager and saw a little yellow triangle with an exclaimation point next to my driver (which is a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSL462D ATA Device) , so I clicked on Properties and found that "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" I went to Google, found a link on this forum and attempted to fix it by following 'this' (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/314060), but when I went to the registry editor I didn't find Upperfilters or Lowerfilters. So, I guess my question is...now what? Microsoft's fix doesn't work and my driver still won't load. Can anyone help me? -- hesperie |

Problems with CD driver
If there is a problem with the OS driver for the optical drive then deleting
the driver and rebooting the computer should fix the problem as even Vista should recognize the optical drive and install the correct drivers. Otherwise your drive is likely toast. |
