Default Automatic System Restore Points and SP2

After installing SP2, on 5/25, System Restore seems to have stopped
creating automatic restore points every 24 hours. I checked the Task
Manger and it is set for 24 hours. It shows a restore point being
created on 5/26. System Restore shows the last Restore Point being
created on 5/25 about 1 hour after downloading SP2.

I think, i have quite same problem, no automatic restore points after sp2.
But take a look C:\Windows\Logs\SystemRestore, there is the newest restore,
but why it doesnt show in the system recovery window?

right, i got my restore point fixed, at least for now. I think i first
checked the drive c: for errors, then i took the automatic restore point
feature off and restarted. Dont know, maybe this was allready enough, but i
unchecked from task Scheduler this "start if 10 min idle" and i ran system
restore function by manually to see does it do it right and does it do
something to c\wind\logs\systemrestore. Also checked i have rundll32.exe
running, and enabled from services.mcs Volume Shadow Copy Service (wonder is
it then shadow copy in english). BUT when i saw the automatic restore point
was made successfully and i press ok-button i gave me error 0x80071A91, but
happily it was fixed whit restarting.

i tried http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/939399 but i got error
"The system cannot find the file specified". That was fixed with
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/948252. I found from event viewer error
(event ID) 12293 from vss. Also ID 8193 and 8210. When tried to do manual
restore point, in event viewer everything was ok, mut nothing changed in
"restorepoint window". And then next error was 12293 (VSS Provider error).
Also tried to re-registering the dlls that are needed by the VSS service,
with some errors and whitout any help.

Restart was only thing with help, but just before pc went to sleep. But i
found (several hours after) this

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/972135/ and it let me create restorepoint
and automatic point looks like working also.
