http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/81...nd-prompt.html Disk Defragmenter Tutorial I found useful and therefore used (had been looking for weeks). I have run defrag.exe c: -w to do a full fragmentation.. above [they] say dont close the command prompt until the Hard drive stops running... Well my computer keeps going to sleep every 5 min of idle time, whereas it sounds like the harddrive is turning off or going idle, and therefore pausing the defrag? And I was wondering, how do I know when it is done? When the command line C:\Windows\system32 shows? And is the defrag still working even when the computer goes into idle sleep mode? Or should I be going back there every 5 minutes and shaking my mouse to wake it up? Thanks, Riko -- RikoRain |
