I just purchased a computer with Vista Home Premium 64bit processor system. I downloaded the latest Firefox. Both I.E.7 and Firefox worked great. Then I.E.8 downloaded itself and I could use neither Firefox nor I.E. as browsers. I had to get help to use my computer. I loved Firefox and want to get it back. Would it be safe to try again or should I wait until a perfect Firefox for 64bit systems is developed? -- Gumba |

I have the same problem of all microsoft vista 64 items can't connect with
the internet. This includes IE, auto updates, addons to sidebar, and help and support. I have tried everything over the last 2 weeks, (I have had vista ultimate 64 loaded for 6 months). I have kept updates for vista and Norton 360 up todate. norton doesn't find anything....I also tried several active X and java on line checks, but nothing is found! The strange pat is I can access IE if I open something in firefox that is set to open always in IE option of firefox, (my default browser) from that method of opening IE I can access all my bookmarks or searches in IE, any suggestions? -- Freedom Isn''''t Free! I couldn't even get on the Internet with either Firefox or Internet Explorer 8 after downloading Internet Explorer. My computer was useless until I took it to the Geeks. I have no suggestions for you as I am seeking an answer myself as to do I dare download Firefox again and try it? -- Gumba |
