Bugcode_usb_driver
Hello, I know that similar posts have been made about this, but i couldn't find anything that helped me so I'm trying my own.. I have had, just about, nonstop problems with my laptop since I bought it. Something is always going wrong. Recently, because nothing was working, not even Windows Update, I was told to restore the laptop to factory settings and then try to update my pc to SP1 and SP2 so I could get it up to date. I was told this would fix all my problems. Well, for a while now, I have been getting the little bubble on the bottom right corner of the screen telling me something like *'USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned'* it finally, about two days ago, stopped telling me that after I restored the HP Webcam Drivers back to the original drivers (per what I was told to do by HP people) However, this afternoon when I turned on my laptop I got the message about the BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER and I really am just as a loss right now. If anybody could help me I would love you forever. Right now I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit with SP1 and SP2 and I just checked update and health check, and it seems like everything is up to date. thanks! Oh, and P.S. something that has not been working correctly, also since I bought this laptop, is the built in Webcam. I don't know if anybody knows if this has anything to do with it, but it will be connected and I can simply TOUCH my pc's lid and it with lose the connection. -- Ldedene |

I'm having the same problem with my HP Touchsmart! I've had problems with the built-in webcam also. When I call HP they told me that it was a problem with Windows, so I uninstall the driver and it seemed to work fine until now that I have to restore the computer to its factory settings, I upgraded to SP1 and SP2 and got the blue screen with the BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER error... I'm restoring the system and I'm only going to leave the SP1 and see what happens... -- PiPiLiGrAmA |
