Default One Laptop Connects One Doesn't

Hey guys, I have a problem with my laptop/internet. My laptop is unable
to access the internet even though my other laptop is on the wireless
connection fine. The laptop that doesn't work connects to the internet
but doesn't detect the router. I've tried resetting the router and modem
but it didn't seem to help. Also, my ip on my laptop is weird :S It's
169.254.43.250 instead of 192.168.0.1
The last thing I did before it went down was try forward some ports.
After forwarding, my internet didn't go back up so I went back on my
router's site and removed the port I tried to forward. Afterwards, I
still had no internet but now I couldn't even access my router's site.
Any suggestions?

Hi
169.254.43.250 is the default IP that Windows serf assign when it can not
reach a DHCP server.
Apparently your computer is not capable to connect to the Router and get
from it a valid IP.
If your Router security is On try first wit the router's security off.
