If I click on "Network" it takes about 4 or 5 minutes to actually update &
show all the PC's. A file that took 5 minutes to D/L from the Internet (~500mb) takes an hour to copy to another machine over a 100 MB network. All non-Vista machines on the network are fast & do not have this problem. |

I'm not sure why, but I experience the same slowness. Many users have reported the same thing, too. It is quite aggravating. -Michael |

I took this from an earlier post
It could be that your networking equipment is having a problems with Vista's new TCP/IP stack. Try typing the following at a command prompt with admin priviledges: netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=off to turn it back on just change the off to on. See if maybe this helps. I had problems with my wireless router until they came out with updated firmware, so I had to do the above to get it to work properly.
