Hi, I have an important problem with the file sharing on my small network (3 PCs); the computer with the operating system Vista 64 bit freezes. When I try to copy several files from a computer XP SP3 32 bit to the main computer Vista 64 bit, the main computer freezes completely. I can’t reach the tasks manager, I am obliged to restart the computer with the reset button. For this reason I can’t see in the Windows logs the event error. I checked so that the computers communicate with the same protocols of authentification, but that does not change anything. I can sometimes copy one file without problem, I can also share data bases SQL (Outlook) without problem, I can see the computer in the network and view the directories in the share partition, but I can’t exchanged large files or moved blocs of files. Could somebody help me please? -- PhilPerrier ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PhilPerrier's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/110305.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...rk/1205902.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

Flavius, I can see all computers of my network on each computer. I tried a transfer of a bloc of files with the Vista PC to my laptop installed with Windows 7 RC and I have the same problem. It seems that the problem is on the Vista PC. I looked the link you propose, I checked all documentation (port sharing etc.) and the setup seem ok. I made a request at Microsoft to obtain the fix kb922120 for the XP computer, when I receive it I will install the fix. However, at this time I have no solution for the Vista problem. -- PhilPerrier ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PhilPerrier's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/110305.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-v...rk/1205903.htm http://forums.techarena.in |

Trouble and Flavius, Thank you for your assistance! The problem it's resolved by uninstalled and delete the driver of the network card Intel PRO/1000 PL and reinstalled it with the original Intel CD. It was necessary to erase the driver because Microsoft Vista always reinstalled the bad driver and do not detect the trouble with the network card. However, the advanced and tools options of the Intel driver disappear after the reboot of the system. At this time, it seems that that does not affect the computer. But is it a sign of new problem?
