For weeks now my windows firewall keeps turning off, i've run zone alarm and avg anti virus and spyware scans and have only resulted in finding potentially harmfull cookies. Can anyone plz help? -- srevolution8ry |

ZoneAlarm is a third-party firewall and will disable the Windows Firewall. This is by design since you *don't* want two firewalls running. If you want to continue using ZoneAlarm, then leave the Windows Firewall disabled. If you don't want ZoneAlarm, then uninstall per ZA's uninstallation instructions at their website and then enable the built-in Windows Firewall. and avg anti virus and spyware scans and have only resulted in finding potentially harmfull cookies. Can anyone plz help? .. Check the Security Center in the control panel. There may be another firewall ON (such as zonealarm), in which case it's appropriate that the windows firewall is OFF. |
