Both my router and LAN hard drive got fried by a lightning strike. Both have
now been replaced. I have two problems. We use 2 laptops via a wireless router, I am getting an error message saying that both computers have the same ip address although both seem to connect to the internet ok. Is this a problem andhow do I rectify? Secondly, we had mapped the old network drive and I am now trying to unnstall it from My Computer. I can't seem to do this as every time I click on the drive letter, I get a message saying the drive is no longer valid and no connection can be made. I want to install my new LAN hard drive using the same drive letter. How can I do this? Any help much appreciated |

Right-click the mapped drive, then click Disconnect. or: 2. Open a command prompt window and enter this command, substituting the actual drive letter for "z": net use z: /d -- Best Wishes, Steve Winograd, MS-MVP (Windows Desktop Experience) Microsoft Most Valuable Professional Program http://mvp.support.microsoft.com |
