Default Problem printing through a printer server

Anybody experienced problems printing from Vista Ultimate through a print
server? I'm using a D-LINK DP-300U. I can connect to the printer server,
install ther printer, but when I send a print (test page) on the color
deskjet the page won't print and in the panel return an error.
If I send document to the hp 1100 ... all is fine. In both cases I use vista
default drivers.

What could be the matters?

Andrea

Vista RC2 prints fine to:
1) Brother MFC8820DN (Print server built in).
2) a really,really old HP Jetdirect Ex3+ (3 ports available, using
2))
Both cases I had to input the IP address and then the port number.
(The scanner part of the Brother is on port 2)
Both work very reliably.

Got to love USB with no latch. My Cat sat on my external (warm spot
G) Hard drive and dislodged the cable in the middle of a long
download :/
