Try running chkdsk and having it do a full scan to see if it comes up
with anything. It sounds like either something is corrupted on the disk
or its on its last legs

If you open a command prompt, chkdsk doesn't work at all, or on the
disk? I'd say you should start checking pricegrabber for a new hard
drive.

when i open up cmd and type it in it, it says the following:

"Access Denied as you do not have sufficient privileges. You have to
invoke this utility running in elevated mode."

I'm behind an array of proxies/firewalls, I can't see your picture

Then the problem is with the USB port on desktop or with it's driver or
possibly with antivirus software on your desktops.
You could try a different USB port preferably one on the back of your
desktop and not the front.
Are all 3 systems running the same version and release level of Vista, such
as Vista Home premium 32 bit SP2?

i tried my other desktop, but it wouldn't appear there either. so, i
tried the laptop (the last time it worked), and it was there!

what's the problem?
