CPU listed as physical or logical cores?
Can somone clear up for me if, in device manger the CPU is listed by logical or physical cores? i.e. Would a quad core processor come up as 1 processor or 2? Simple stuff i know! -- AmosMoses |

CPU listed as physical or logical cores?
With today's modern processors, Device Manager counts cores, not processors.
One processor with four cores = four processors shown. Two processors with one core each = two processors shown. "AmosMoses" wrote in message ... A Quad Core comes up as 4. A Dual Core comes up as 2.
