Default Vertical scrolling...jumps rather than smooth scrolling - Excel 20

I am on Office 2007 / Windows Vista and use a Microsoft Wireless Optical
Mouse 2.0. I have the latest version of Intellpoint 6.1.

In Excel only, when I scroll vertically, it jumps down 17 lines rather than
a smooth vertical scroll. This worked before I upgraded to Vista RTM, but I
can't seem to find any options in Intellipoint to adjust this. The smooth
vertical scrolling works fine in Word, Outlook, IE7, etc., but not Excel.

Any ideas?

Has anyone found a solution? I have a MS Wireless Laser Mouse 6000,
and am experiencing the same issue, where scrolling down jumps multiple
lines, rather than the smooth scrolling expected. It is extremely
annoying. Any advice would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Babble

Play with your mouse scroll settings in control panel - if you set it
slower it reduces the size of the jumps.
It does slow down scrolling everywhere else though, so its a bit of a
compromise, but you can also set a faster scroll rate for when you move
the wheel faster, which helps out.
