1394 IEEE firewire code 10 error in vista
Platform: Vista Home Premium SP2 and SP1
Problem Description: VIA OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller This device cannot start. (Code 10) Attempted solutions: Uninstall / Re-install: Error, Device Driver was not Correctly installed. Check Driver: Driver update tells me I have the right driver. Found issue on Microsoft site saying: Windows Vista does not enumerate an IEEE 1394a device that you connect to the computer - it was the closest match to my issue. Followed instructions but no resolution. Checked campatabilty matrix but there did not seem to be any 1394 PCI cards, just motherboards from AXUS! I have seen lots of posts on various forums on this but no solutions - any help greatly appreciated. |

1394 IEEE firewire code 10 error in vista
Hi Peter,
Thanks for taking the time to reply but the issue is not USB it is 1394 firewire. The hardward is internal PCI and the platform is Vista not XP although I appreciate that a solution could still apply but sadly not in this case.
