Black screen after update.
I recenlty installed an update for Vista X64, but after the computer restarted there was just a black screen. I can move the mouse around, but I can't do anything else. I tried to run the system restore, but it says my c drive contains errors and it won't work. Anyone know how to fix this? -- Kaim |

Black screen after update.
Hi Kaim, you may first try to repair or repair by restore you system as you are booting with you OS dvd. Hope this help and post back. A little info or specs of your computer may be helpful for diagnostic or trouble shooting. Bruce -- bruce2 If you find some one's post helpful, please click the scales to give rep. |

Black screen after update.
Thanks for the reply, I'm using an HP laptop, and it never came with an OS DVD. The back-up stuff is in the d drive, but I'm not sure how to access that. Also I ran a diagnostic test on my c drive and there was an error that said it had to be replaced. I hope that is not the case... -- Kaim |
