I had to reinstall Windows Vista Ultimate which prior to the reinstall had
SP 1 installed. After this reinstall SP1 does not show in computer properties. Is SP1 still available somewhere on the computer for upgrading or will I have to use Windows Update to apply it ? Your help please,Richard |

You will need to install Service Pack 1 and then Service Pack 2. Unfortunately, there's no way to shorten the process. I would just download both Service Packs instead of doing it from Windows Update if you have a fast Internet connection. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en Learn how to install Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (MS site) - http://tinyurl.com/2rvqk5 Learn about SP2 - has links to the download, DVD ordering, and installation support - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...ice-packs.aspx Malke -- MS-MVP Elephant Boy Computers - Don't Panic! http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/#FAQ |
