USB Mouse Device Malfunction
I know there is already a thread for this, but I tried the solutions in that thread and none have worked. It started randomly last night when I was just browsing the net and chatting on MSN. I had an optical Microsoft mouse I got over a year ago pretty cheaply, so I figured it was just fried, I'd been using it just fine on my desktop with XP. I went out and bought a new mouse that was 'Vista Certified' a Logitch Optical Mouse. Plugged it in, the computer made an 'donk' noise at me and told me the device had malfunctioned and windows does not recognize it. I got this lap top just about a week ago, so I'm pretty frustrated. I tried downloading the driver from the website, I tried the solution of putting the msmouse.inf folder on my desktop and updating the device that way, and Vista told me that the device was up to date. Any solutions? -- PandaYuki88 |

Do other USB devices work in that port? Examples: card reader, keyboard, external hard drive, usb thumb drive.
