Default wireless ad hoc connection

hi there! i got 2 PCs running on Windows Vista Business. I am using the
PC which is connected to the internet.

both PCs have D-Link Wireless Adapter and so i used the Set-Up
Wireless Ad Hoc connected to connect my other PC to the internet. But
the primary purpose of which is to file share and also printer sharing.
my printer is connected in the other PC.

i tried doing file sharing and printer sharing but to no avail. if i
use the other PC i cant even access the files i set for file sharing. it
keeps on asking for a username and password in order to access files
from my PC.

i am wondering how come it would ask for a password since both PCs do
not have a password.

hope you can help me on this.

thank you very much.
