Hello,
1.) I'd like to download files larger than 4294967296 Bytes from a WebDAV server with Windows's built in Client but Microsoft has crippled it (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/900900). The maximum Value for the FileSizeLimitInBytes is 2^32 (4GiB) and neither using QWORD nor setting it to 0 does work. Is there a chance to get those files with the explorer integrated webclient or do I have to use a normal browser? 2.) Is there a switch that makes the Windows webclient use http compression? If I a put a zero-bytes-only file on the server I can download it very fast with normal browsers (More than 20MBytes/second through a 1 MBit/s DSL Line) but with the Windows integrated webclient it takes ages. 3.) A browser that conatains a file with the following name cannot be browsed with vista and XP: ABC*𐀡𐀢ΑΒΓАБВصضطऄअआᐱᐲ ☹☺☻♚♛♜.txt 4.) Furthermore the Windows XP webclient cannot list the root directory of a webdav share if it contains a file larger than 2GiB !!! Regards, Peter |
