Default Access to Raid drive on Vista network

Hi all

I have 2 Vista PC's on a small network hardwired through a Belkin
Wireless router. One is a desktop running Vista Ultimate and other is
set up for home theatre (HTPC) and is running Vista Home Premium. The
HTPC has a 500gb system hard drive and 4 x 500gb drives set up with RAID
as a single drive.

All the drives are shared with each computer. Both computers can see
all the drives available on each computer. The HTPC can access all the
drives on the Desktop and the desktop can access the system drive on the
HTPC.

But the Desktop cannot access the RAID drive. I get an error telling
me that the drive is available but "the user account you are logged on
with was denied access".

Any body out there that can point me in the right direction?

Does your raid card say that the drives/raid set is functional? If so,
you are fine, don't attempt and use the recovery console, try re
installing Vista using the "R" Repair option. You will still need the
OEM drivers for the "F6" option. else probe for cabling etc.

Thanks MrChris. The Raid drive works fine; no problems accessing it
from the HTPC which it is installed in and everything on it runs fine
from the HTPC. It's just the connection from the other Desktop PC that
I can't work out. Not sure if a re-install of Vista would help. No
other problems (well major problems) on either PC. On which PC would I
re-install?

Cheers
