Default Remote Desktop Reconnect Issue

Hi,

I am having a problem connecting to a Vista Ultimate x64 host using
Remote Desktop. The first time I can connect with no problem. However
after I log off, using Start LogOff, I can not reconnect. When I
attempt to reconnect I get the following message;

The requested operation cannot be completed because the terminal
connection is currently busy processing a connect, disconnect, rest or
delete operation.

Even if I am physically at the host and attempt to login it just hangs
and I have to hard boot it.

I am connecting from a Windows XP SP2 computer using;

Remote Desktop Connection
Shell Version 6.0(Build Number 6000)
Control Version 6.0.6000

Network Level Authentication not supported.
Maximum encryption strength 128 bits.

Thanks in advance,
John

It could be Remote Procedure Call (RPC) service issue. Have you checked this
post?

Thanks for your response.

Yes it seems the RPC is not configured as that link shows. However
when I go to change it to Local System Account the options are all
greyed out. I can not stop, start or change the properties of this
service. I am running as an Administrator.

Is there a way to change the properties of this service using a command
line and then reboot my machine and have the changes take effect?

Thanks,
John
