Hello Eaterjolly, You can enable the '*_built-in_administrator_*' (http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/67...r-account.html) account and log on to it for full control. There will still be protected operating system files that Vista will not let you access or change for safety and security though. Hope this helps, Shawn eaterjolly;1104009 Wrote: how do i give myself full control over my entire computer i dont care one bit if i mess it up so badly that i cant even get the welcome screen ![]() -- Brink '*MS MVP - Windows Desktop Experience*' (https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/pr...5-AD617AF3D511) *There are no dumb questions, just the people that do not ask them.* '*Windows 7 Forums*' (http://www.sevenforums.com/) '*Windows Vista Forums*' (http://www.vistax64.com/) *Please post feedback to help others.* |

Buy a mac....... ha ha ha .
Seriously, there is a way. It's called enabling the Built-in Administrator which will by-pass all prompts for permissions. No offense is intended, I have to decline to tell you how, out of personal conviction. I am certain someone won't mind showing you how. If no response, start a new thread, ask " How to enable Built-in Administrator ". You'll get answers. t-4-2 "eaterjolly" wrote in message ... how do i give myself full control over my entire computer i dont care one bit if i mess it up so badly that i cant even get the welcome screen ![]() -- eaterjolly |

I am not sure I understand you correctly.
I'd suggest STRONGLY that you put a password on your Built-in Administrator account. t-4-2 "eaterjolly" wrote in message ... t-4-2;1104022 Wrote: Buy a mac....... ha ha ha .
