I just installed the new Vista drivers and application for my VX-6000
from
the hardware site and while the drivers install fine and the camera
seems to
work (tried it with Messenger), when I launch the application
(LifeCam.exe),
I get the following error message: "LifeCam.exe has stopped working"

I uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, installed with the camera
unplugged,
installed with it plugged in, rebooted etc. etc. No luck.

Is there anything I can check here?

Hello I finally know where the problem come from:
If you have nero software, just uninstall it and the problem solve.
You should download the last nero and see if the problem persist with the
new nero reloaded???

:-)

I updated my Nero 7 Ultra Edition software today to the latest release and it
corrected the lifecam crashing issue and a Windows Host Process (rundll32)
error when accessing the Dreamscene preview. Hope it helps!

Same here. I installed version 7.7.5.1 and it fixed the crashing issue with
LifeCam. I wonder if uninstalling didn't remove everything . . .
