Hi guys, I'm running vista home 32 bit. I have accidently ended my last pc session with hibernation then pushed the off switch. Now, when I restart I get a "resume from hibernation"screen straight away and then nothing. I cannot use a keyboard (not on USB and not on ps), have no option to access bios or anything. I have tried using a boot cd but that doesnt work (even when I disconnect my HD). I have tried cutting all power for a while, doesn t help either. My pc always restarts to "resume from...". Any ideas as this is driving me crazy ... Thanks -- Sure |

You should still be able to get into BIOS by pressing the appropriate key and holding it as soon as you power it on. Also, pressing and holding the F8 key just after power up should bring up your Vista boot menu. If you can get it to come up, pick Safe Mode and see if it starts then. Another thing to try is to get into BIOS and make sure your DVD drive is first in the boot order. You should then be able to start from your Vista DVD and run start-up repair. If you turn it on and wait 5 or 6 minutes, do you get a BSOD or any error messages? SC Tom |
