Many of us who support supporting several these MS sponsored peer to peer
newsgroups for many years may delete a thread if it does not appear that we
can provide meaningful assistance and therefore we do not have all the
previous posts in a thread in order to save disk space.
Or we may subscribe to a new newsgroup and delete all of the history so that
we start from scratch in that newsgroup and in this case also we would have
no thread history.
I suggest that you accept the advice we are trying to give you instead of
blaming us for not being able to help you since we don't have all the
previous posts.

OK, you're probably right. I belong to several Photoshop forums
and
almost all want to eliminate all but the last few posts in the
thread.

My assumption that since this is a forum anyone interested enough
or
responsive will have read all of the posts, as I do, when I want
to see
why the post was initiated in the first place.

You actually EXPECT us to go to the Logitech site to see if you
posted
anything there????

*No, of course not*. I said that I found the answer on the Logitech
website, all of my posts were posted here, from the initial post to all
of the responses I got. I DID NOT post on the Logitech forum, I only
found the answer, according to them, to solving the issue. As I also
said, I am at work and won't be able to verify that the solution works
until I get home.

Sorry... this is an all-volunteer group. You are expected to do some
of the work.

I did do the work. I supplied a link to a possible solution to the
problem since on all the forums I visited about the inability for a
MX310 to act as other than a basic mouse, this was the first thing I
found that had a good chance of working.

MY GOD !! Just like 2 little schoolgirls bickering !! You speek of
deleting a thread if you cant provide MEANINGFULL assistance, well I
must say, other than ajelins' initial post, AND the fact that he
returned to the thread to provide updated info, this thread is full of
FAR FROM MEANINGFULL content (refering to Curiouss' ongoin MEANINGLESS
ranting).

I mean really!

On that note, is there anyone that wishes to contribute any MEANINGFULL
content to this thread in regard to a possible solution to getting a
Logitech MX 310 to FULLY work under the vista OS, ( I myself am running
Windows 7 and have the same issue). And am unable to have any other
buttons work other than left/right click and scroll wheel. Wheras it has
a left and right side button, mouse wheel button and another button
under the mouse wheel that are no longer usable with windows 7.

Which kinda sucks when you play first person shooter games that have a
left and right LEAN feature that your used to mapping to those left and
right mouse buttons.

Anyway, any ideas people? dare I say....MEANINFULL ideas...LOL

If you had half a brain to work with, you'd have deduced by now that
your mouse is not compatible with either Vista or Windows 7 as control
software hasn't been written for either of those to OSs by Logitech.

Are there Vista compatible drivers for your device? If not it will function
only as a basic mouse. Check the Logitech web site for the drivers and/or
software you need.

Hey Einstein...

If YOU spent HALF as much time actually READING my post as you do
flapping your cockhole and just generally being a douchbag trying to
insult people...you would NOTICE that there IS control software that has
been written that makes the MX 310 Vista and Windows 7 compatible. And
oh yea....written BY Logitech.

sigh Always a tard in every crowd....and tonight is John Galts' lucky
night !!

Not according to the Logitech website, bozo:

"This product originally shipped with either iTouch or MouseWare,
which are not compatible with Vista. We strongly recommend to
uninstall iTouch and/or MouseWare prior to migrating to Windows Vista.
After iTouch and MouseWare are uninstalled, the basic functionality of
your devices will be provided by the Windows native driver."

"basic functionality" means that all the bells and whistles won't
work.
